Dyna-cab, general consensus is that they're "better" than legacy?

Consensus? Google some of the crazy things that MOST people believe in and you will have a new "appreciation" of consensus. For me, Dynacab mode is a great feature and I hope they build it out with more mics, off axis angle ,user dynacabs and whatever else they dream up.

And this is surprising? I remember when it was posted that Dave Friedman himself guessed wrong on clips of his own amp and an Axe-Fx. They have it backwards in this product. Preamps are what's best about modeling.

I've owned both for extended periods. I do agree that the K provided a kind of quick and dirty satisfaction but there was always this something that pushed me to try and work it out. It isn't just EQ. It's exactly like what you called it. A congestion.

It would be better if I offered help when I say this but you do not say what kind of help with tone match you need............Are you matching the clip or the actual amp itself? .....but anyway that Vox sound clip sounds pretty crappy to me. I would not have guessed it was a hand wired...

I don't think Kemper solved the aliasing at all. But that's not their only problem to put it simply. It just doesn't sound as good. In case you missed it, the aliasing in this clip is pretty bad in my humble opinion. Especially 55 seconds...

Finally, The EDGE (U2) Using an AXE-FX II !!!!

I'm with this being lip sync and it could very well be an Axe-Fx as signs have pointed to him using. The vocal has a few "alien" moments, and watch the snare drum around 1:53

FW 6.0 brought me back to the Axe

I've played both extensively at this point. The axe has a the edge on amp sounds in my opinion. Not just higain but clean and crunch are just more alive. I think there will be a lot of people like Dan. (Like they said on Rig talk... "Lots o' Kempers for sale" No doubt it has an certain appeal...

Will you guys still use RWs, Kalthallen, etc after 6.0?

My method for cab audition is to send 50 over at once. Then just click on the CAB in Axe Edit, leave the mouse pointed to the down arrow, and you can one-handedly step through.

I actually thought your match was better than your no-match I bet that audience noise is killing you. Anyway, did you try peak hold instead of averaging? Maybe it will pick up those attacks. Speaking of which ... "you can't put back what isn't there." Might be your amp settings or guitar...

Kemper: so far, the axe-fx 2 stays

I got the chance to try one for a few hours and I had the same thought. The sound seemed less exciting. You said it did not have depth or the right kind of grit and I would agree -- something was flat sounding with an almost pod like quality to the top of drive sounds and a charicature quality...

I can never imagine wanting to! The Axe-Fx changes presets so fast... Just make 10 presets! You can already use CCs to change different things in different ways if you need more than one sound inside of a preset. Not just effect bypassing things either, but between settings where modifiers...

Switching through delay time units???

You can't change tempos with remote control. You can change time in milliseconds, but then you need to have it "hard-coded," and you only have 128 midi values for well more than that on the axe, so it is very coarse. Remote control of tempo would be nice. What I do is just set it to quarter...
