    Have you tried reducing the higher frequencies on the global or amp graphic eq? I use the global as I typically play a strat. I can then keep the treble up to get the spank I need without being brittle or harsh. I know this is not the main topic.

    The hbe has too much saturation for my taste. I can roll back the volume on the BE and get a nice crunch or open tone then change to wide open throttle for leads.

    The pedal with the switch has basically two channels. It is always "on", the switch alternates between the two "channels" which can be assumed to different effects.

    The tweaking on the II is very simple, amp-like if you will. I get better consistent tone at low and high volumes than with my amp rig.     I use a george L cable as they are much thinner than a standard cable while retaining the sound quality and can squeeze in my three rack.

    I have the same problem with eb and mission pedal. For now I simply quit using the pedals, however will add a volume block at the beginning if the signal chain and use a modifier to connect the pedal to control the volume.

    I am having difficulty with my output volume on my patches. I have active emg pickups on my music man, however did not have issues with clipping on my ultra. Seems like I lose some of my sparkle and tone when I turn down the output volume on the amp and cabinets....

    Agreed. Cliff is doing what he loves, engineering a sick guitar product and working for himself. From what I have gathered reading these forums for the past two years Cliff wants to not deal with big company red tape (lucky guy!) and work with his passion (guitar).
