24 hours later... Connecting the AxeFX to the same outlet as the amp solved the problem completely: No hum , no noise , pristine sound quality without Humbusters and without the Ebtech units. Using shorter cables too but this does not make a huge difference to longer cables in my ears. So thank...

I use longer cables just because my amp is on the left side of my desk and the AxeFx is in a rack on the right side (home-studio setup). But you got me thinking about using shorter cables and plugging the AxeFx into the same outlet as the amp. I will try that tomorrow and report back. Thank you...

Do you mean the Hum X? It is sold only in the US as far a i know . I am in Germany and can not find this product in any online store for the european/or german market. This product also is very debatable for being not safe. But thank you very much for your reply !

Subract the difference between 2 IRs, to create a new one?

in Cab Lab , IR 1 in slot 1, IR 2 in slot 2. Flip the phase of IR 2 , do not change the levels. Convert both IR´s to a new IR ( IR 3) Empty slots 1 and 2. Put IR 1 in slot 1, IR 3 in slot 2, mix to taste, voila ! If this will sound good i dont know, but its technically the way to do what you...

Ok, i tried it and my Input2 is clipping hard no matter how low i set the input2 levels in the I/O menue. I had switched the parallel loop i used to -10 dbv and i got i nice gain structure, no clipping.The series loop of the JVM is fixed +4dbu so it clips the input2/fx return of my Axe FX XL...

001 + 002 where just an example. It´s about the principle of replacing 2 factory cabs and offer them as downloads.You could keep these removed factory cabs as User cabs.

Hi, I am looking forward to your report :-) The Bogner is really a very nice cab, and the speaker combination I choosed is killer ( at least for my ears ). The IR´s I made are brighter than the most stock IR´s in the Axe fx, certainly not suited to every amp but they sound very "live"...

I know there is the "dump" function in the IR Capture utility on the axe fx xl (fw 15.03) where i can choose between dumping the .syx file or the raw .ir file. I want to dump/export the raw .ir files so i can mix them in CabLab. I can not figure it out where the dumped raw ir. file goes...

Hi, thats a good question, I was not clear about that. I made 2 IR´s of each speaker/microphone combination with slightly different microphone positions. File 1 and 3 are closed miced, touching the grill. File 2 and 4 are miced 1" away from grill. I hope that makes sense :-) Cheers !

Hi, thank you for checking out my IR´s ! Please read post #3 I do not have CabLab (yet). When i figure out how exporting .ir files works, i will post the .ir files. As I said in post #3, the speakers are already mixed during recording of the IR´s. Cheers !
