Axe-Fx II Firmware Version 7.00 Available

Is there an easy way to tell if the bank updates took successfully, sent the sysex files with sysex librarian, but can't tell if I have the updated presets...firmware update worked...

New Song AxeFX Standard

Yes, definately not prog or guitar rock, just a basic groove song with guitar parts added that I thought worked well...all guitar was recorded direct with the Axe, song was recorded with a combination of a Tascam 2488 and Protools...thanks for the kind words.

Broke out my Axe Standard for a New Song

Unfortunately recording the guitars was quick and dirty, just knob turning and tweaking until I found something I liked, so I don't have the presets used...I did use a Gibson SG Standard for all of the guitars though...thanks for the comments.

Global gain vs. Output gain pot?

I too am a little confused about the various places to boost output of patches...I disable the power amp sims since I am running output 2, before the cab sims with the fx loop block, to a tube power amp, I the use output 1 with cab sims if I need a direct signal. I am a little confused about...

Sick of solid state

Personally, I get way better results going through the power amp in on my Spider Valve HD than I ever got going through any of the SS power amps I tried...just could not get them to work for me...

Anybody else go right in the front of an amp?

Mine sounds really good into the effects return on my Line 6 Spider Valve HD...like really good...it makes a very powerful, inexpensive tube power amp...although it is obviously mono.

ART SLA Performance report !!

What are you guys using to get your volume level up...global output, patch level, amp volume...etc. I recently got an SLA-2 and tried my AxeFx through it, since I pretty much just use my axe for recording...didn't get a lot of volume or punch out of it, I tried it with a 4 ohm and 8 ohm cab, but...
