As I understand it view 2 only lets me have only three extra switches, the remaining three from view one. For someone coming frim the FM3, I really thought that in view 2 I’ll have 9 more too. Isnt there a way around it? it is such a waste to not be able to use those remaing six switches
Some time ago I requested opinions on which direction should I go, there seems to be two major players in the third party controllers that are affordable. I already had a weird experience with Voes, but gave it a try after much thought and reviews read.
Patrick Voes did set it up before sent...
Not as easy to get it setup as it looks, needs a lot of tweaking, understanding and work to make it work properly. I have read pretty much every post about them, that is what I understood among the good things
For the moment i am trying to avoid going the FC6 route, even it is considered the best and easiest way. I need more switches for my FM3 than six, so the Morningstar MC8 looks like a solid solution, but the complaints about integrations and setup make me wonder. So, is there somethings similar...
I have added delay pedal to my FM3, so I am using the OUT2 and IN2 to get that integrated.
In this situation is there a way I can use my OUT1 to board and OUT2 to my combo amp? Is there a way around it? Cant find anything on this
Does anyone tried this combination?
Before you jump on me I should mention most of the times I get by just the AX8. But there are moments when I just dont want to switch presets or work with the X/Y option. Given the fact that there is a very well priced mark I and the fact that it has some...
I had the red box for about a week. At that time I didnt hav the AX8. To me, it did nothing. It might be a personal thing, but didnt impress at all.
Then there appeared that demo of Pete Thorn of the new product. I know a lot of people were in awe, but again, I found it weird. There were about...
Being a not custom mold, isnt it hard to wear, as any other in ear of this style, for a longer periods? For that price, I'll get into custom stuff.
I'm pretty intrigued
I just gave up for the very same reasons. Ordered one in july, then they delayed until I got bored and mad. I could smell the way things are gonna work out. I was right
This might be a silly question, but want to make sure: I have a few items I'd like to use with my AX8. The power supply, TRex Fuel Tank Classic will be mounted just under the Ax, on a Pedaltrain. As I noticed, the power supply gets pretty hot after an hour of use, so this bears my question...
That's about all I would like to see regarding display while playing. Specially the Performance View is how I imagened it. Also the Suggested Preset Select View is a good one.
Good work Johan on thhe images
Beside a few nice points given above, for me, the biggest annoying thing is the FX block darkening and shadowing. In my humble opinion, it lacks a little bit of logic. If I disengage a block, I really dont need it to be darkened or marked in any way. All I need to know is which block is engaged...
Maybe I am not getting it right, I tried your suggestion: if set to NONE, there is no action, so I cant set the tempo...
I verified again: the tap works on up-stroke. If set to down, there is no x/y switching on the block itself
I am not sure if this has been solved, if so, I apologise, couldnt find it. I undertsand the logic behind this, but would like to see a workaround. I want my switching to happen on down stroke, so I can truly use the tap tempo too (which I find unusable on upstroke style), but dont want to give...
Yeap, you are right an all points. I am not battleing their bussiness policy, that's their stuff, they work it around, just thought playing this "custom" card again and again was a poor comparison. The reason behind this was already presented by FAS. That is all
I see this comparison fairly often pulled out on this forum, but, in my opinion that's totally wrong. We are talking about different product categories. When you said "custom", you just ruled out one of them
I registered on oct 14, around 11.30 am and Sussi told me I should get mine in the second or third batch, last I asked. So, that could be an indicator. But, also, I might be wrong, maybe things'll change as we go
Since an official statement has been made, what's the point of the semantics and words splitting battle? The rest is just opinions. Only that. Which in this case value not much
As a FAS lover, I came to the conclusion that this forum appears to be like we had communism in Eastern Europe: you only can praise the system but no complain at all. The ridiculousness reached new levels.
You should learn from the boss himself with the well balanced and thought out answers
I love my tube amps. Also, am on the list for the AX8. Mean while I thought I'll try out a FX8. Have been reading through the forum, but would like kind of updated info on the two things: compressor and drives. Has anyone tried to compare a Cali76 to the Axe comp? How does it sit with it?
If you read between the lines, you can easily realise what's the status of things. FAS had to open the can a bit, to unload some pressure. AX8 it is on its way, but not how we thought, yet.
To be honest, in my wildest dreams could not think of this price. It is way better that I imagened. Well done Fractal.
I'll be on the list as soon as it opens
If you read up what i wrote, you can easily figure out that was just a typo. I meant "behind". There is no need to activate defense mode everytime seems to be somebody who does not think Axe is best. Which, by the way, it is. The best, as far as I can tell!
I am not sure if it is the excitement that drives all around forums these exalting opinions about the Helix, but to me, besides some nice chops and excellent playing techniques of the demonstrators, remains a let down, so far. Couldnt hear anything that made my jaw drop and there are several...
Some good news, but kind of secretely, for us, europeans. I contacted Sussi, she was way beyond kind, and found out there is a batch coming. As I am on top of the list, might get on it next week. At least something is happening for us, too.
I think, in the end, I will pass. I got on the wainting list way before a lot of people here confirming their dates, still there is no news for european dealeR. I cant still see how fair is that. I surely understand the delay with production, but having such a big discrepancy between these two...
I said it before too, it is really strange that on the european distibutor's site there is not even a price, yet de FX8 is out for some time now. And this silence about this part is so weird
OP, dont take this "crying" too seriously. Your comparison is valid, in my opinion, even if it is the Ultra. I think it is a fair one. Heads up and keep going.
Sometimes this forum becomes a ladies room...
Let's not forget how the II appeared on the market. No hype, no anouncement, nothing. Even asked, Fractal always denied that there is something cooking and just one day, boom. So, there you go, I believe the III will be no different. This is not against Cliff and company, just stating things as...
As stated, just a weeks away the start of the shippment, actualy, anytime, yet there is no price for us, europeans?!? It is a little weird. Does that mean we are way behind the schedule?
There is this Concert from october, with the Dweezil show, there is no Axe on sight, only amps. Do anyone of you know what happened? He was known as a well respected pioneer of the Axe and direct sound
spillover is a pain to set right. at least in my experience. and you have to work your way around.
i was interested if there are user that go about this type of setup, not the usual "setup and forget". theretically means you read about, know how to do it, but never tried to work that way live...
i had a Standard, some time ago. sold it in hope of gettin the II. it didnt happen yet, but would like to make the move.
currently, the music i make requires the heavy use of effects. all my effects or covered with a Strymon Timeline and M5. while they do sound nice, adding a controller to...
i am sure in person those sounded amazing, but this clip does nothing to bring that out. to me sounds terrible, it has to have something to do with the recording
i think the term "boutique" for this product is a little bit forced. maybe we could apply it as far as availability, but other than that, i dont get it. is Eventide considered boutique too or similar stuff?
i wonder, seeing all the pedals(especially the drive ones), how much of his sound is "generated" by the axe fx? of course is powered by the axe, but the signal looks to be went through lots of things, shaped. i am really curious if he gets any drive/distorsion from the unit itself
i would consider in this conversation the starting point for the "medium" the Verve 12ma. i dont think it is that medium. given the fact that the high end is about 3k, it certainly isnt but for the sake of subject, i'd start from there
i am aware that most of the people(including myself)...
given the "fire" around the other topic with the same stuff, i decided to look around. i am not sure what am i willing to pay, but want to look into it. lately i've been playing more and more direct, so am more serious about getting my personal monitor
i understand there are brands that...
i decided to go with a Rocktron Hex just because Mission pedals are hard to come by in Europe. here is my problem: when i check the travel of the pedal with my Ground Control Pro it looks that is there(from 000 to 127), but physicaly when i just let the pedal in heel down, it looks like it goes...
when you just show up with the Axe, set up controller, plug in and PLAY? then, the new group members just go "oh my ....that sounds so good"?
never happened before. i usually play in 2 churches, regularly. week by week. nothing changes, music and stuff wise. then i had this offer to join in...
i dont think it the Ground Control. you have to set up things in the Axe too.
if you want just output volume to be changed, then assign one of the IA's to it and be done. if you want it to control a volume block, another story. you need to work with the external control thing and so on
lately i see my self limited by the 2 delay blocks per patch. is there a way around it? i usually set up one for a not too much feedback(for solos) and the other one for a longer, modulated. but there is a need for some dotted eights and maybe one more too.
i hate changing presets just to...
i am not afraid that the pedal wont work with my midi controller. it should work. the question is which one is better suited for the job? given the fact that for wah you need the "feeling". my FV500H has a too wide range, it is almost impossible to use for this, at least for me looks to be...
i am looking to buy a Mission pedal to do the wah work mainly but also for some expression stuff.
for those who use it regularly which model do you reccomand?
thank you
