    Atomic CLR - expectation/experience

Is this a generational thing perhaps? I don't know that the list of artists above (except maybe for Van Halen) really resonates with the up and coming generation of young guitarists who are, ostensibly, the future buyers of gear like this. It certainly resonates with the current Fractal/Atomic...

I/O Instrument Input set to 28% for Les Paul...is this what others are experiencing

I'm not sure exactly what you mean by specs. The technical specs of the pickups listed in my original post are easily obtainable online, but more to the point, they are common pickup models that lots of folks here are using and yet they don't seem to have trouble tickling the red with them. I...

I/O Instrument Input set to 28% for Les Paul...is this what others are experiencing

Yes, me. :? I set up my brand new Axe-FX II yesterday and tested it with five different humbucker-equipped guitars. Factory settings on the Axe, and even at Instrument input level set to 100% I could never get it to tickle the red no matter how hard I strummed. The guitars I tested (using the...

Beta testers needed: iPad controller for the Axe-FX

Is there a standard screen resolution for Android devices? Or a unified hardware platform? From what I understand, it's not like the iPad where one app looks/works identically on them all. I doubt CyberFerret wants to have to maintain and support a dozen different versions of AxePad for Android...

What floor controller is this guy using???

Interesting. The LF Pro seems to be superior, features-wise, to the MFC-101. I'm surprised anyone would trade an LF for an MFC-101 if it is as flexible as its fans say it is. Does it all come down to reliability or something?

What floor controller is this guy using???

Aside from having more buttons, how did it compare to an MFC-101 in terms of flexibility, programability, and integration with the Axe-FX? (I already have an MFC-101, but I'm curious)

Axe Fx II, It's not Hype (IMO)

I've seen this stated several times in this thread, so far, and I think it needs to be clarified: he is not entitled to his opinion, he is only entitled to his informed opinion, at least if he is going to air it publicly. If his opinion, no matter how earnestly held, comes from a place of...

    LCD burn-in potential?

Having an on/off switch introduces unacceptable risk? Countless multi-effects boards have on/off switches and are used daily for professional gigging. I'm not sure I understand how adding an on/off switch would present a problem in this regard.

    LCD burn-in potential?

I could do that. At the moment I am taking advantage of its ability to draw phantom power from the Axe-FX via the 7-pin MIDI cable. I didn't realize that the phantom power path was directly routed to the MIDI connector and wasn't switched along with the Axe-FX's power.

    LCD burn-in potential?

I guess subjecting a MIDI cable and the connector on the MFC to the wear and tear of frequent plugging/unplugging is preferable to an on/off switch? Most of the devices in my home that can't be turned off except by unplugging them are cheap pieces of low-budget consumer electronics junk. It's...

    LCD burn-in potential?

Since the MFC-101 doesn't have an on/off switch, is there the danger that the LCD will suffer from burn-in since the device is left on at all times? Even when I turn off my Axe-FX, the MFC is still on and drawing power. Somehow this seems like a design flaw to me.

    FRFR powered monitor for metal?

Um, keeping up with the drummer volume-wise is the reason most metal guitarists need extremely loud rigs. Is your drummer playing with feathers instead of drum sticks or something?
