Sorry to hijack the thread but is it possible to use one expression pedal and per preset have it be for a different purpose. Example preset 1 : exp = wah, preset 2 : exp = volume, etc..... Thanks and again sorry to hijack.

Weekend gig report first live gig with the Ultra

Glad to hear you had good luck with the unit live. I am hoping this will be the case with me as well. I am not concerned on the recording side as I have gotten good results with lesser plugins, etc.. As always you rock and thanks for the update!!!

Help me design my Ultra setup: Power amp selection

I have heard and purchased to find out for myself a Carvin TS100 Tube power amp. Tube power and warmth but it is supposed to be very HI-FI and color very little. I have not tried it yet, just wanted to chime in.

I want to make sure I understand the 4 cable method and in doing so also make sure my adding in of a second effect unit is correct. First thing is the FX Send going into input 2, this is the preamp out into the input 2 of the Axe FX then going out of the Output 2 of the Axe FX into the amp. I...

Thanks for the clarification. To make sure I understand what your saying I should leave the shunts to output after the FX Loop to ensure this only goes to output 2 correct?

opinions on this type setup...

This type of setup works really well with the Axe Fx or any top quality FX unit. I was doing this with the Axe Fx and a Soldano and probably will be doing this with the Bogner that is on its way to me and the Axe Fx. The W/D or W/D/W setups like this sound huge and if you are in a 2 guitar band...

recording your axe-fx

I am using a Digidesign Mbox Pro on Vista. It is not cheap but great for recording with Pro Tools LE and the Midi works wonderfully with the Axe Fx and the Editor.

Liquid Foot? In Business?

Got mine today. Excellent communication from start to finish so far. Unit looks amazing IMHO. I will have my Axe Fx Standard tomorrow and will start with programming. Going to be a fun weekend!!!
