Since it's looking like we won't be able to use the MFC-101...

I’ll do it. It’s actually very easy. I’ll do it tomorrow

Since it's looking like we won't be able to use the MFC-101...

The MFC will still operate very nicely as a standard midi foot controller. I use one to operate a JP2C, an eventide H9, Strymon Timeline, and RJM mini effects gizmo. Use it to control presets as well is IA functions for each pedal. Sure I have to name my own presets and program everything...

    Presenting... The Axe-Fx III

I don’t care about any of the fancy shit it may or may not do. All I want out of your ridiculesly powerful 4 dsp chips is gapless switching. I don’t care if it sounds better, I don’t care if there is so much I/O that I can route the signal through my ass, and back again, I want preset changes to...

    Presenting... The Axe-Fx III

So you want firmware updates that doesn’t change your tone? Then what’s the point.

    High Gain tone sounds digital

Only thing I hear wrong is too much gain. Your getting more fizz then tone.

Love for the USA Lead +

I just wanted to show love for the Mark IV model in the axe. I’ve been a 2C+ Bri/deep or 2c++ user as my main high gain for ages and never cared for the IV. Not sure how many firmwares ago I last tried it but today I made a preset with it that honestly sounded better then I ever got with the 2c...

Anyone go from XL to AX8 ?

I personally couldn’t go ax8. For one I play Music Man Petrucci’s so I need 2 inputs for the magnetic and piezo, two I like 2 amps per preset so that I can switch between clean and dirty seamlessly, 3 I like to set my preset up like a pedal board with almost every fx I like available by IA...

Question about blocks with pitch source option

I use local just because I have a piezo and don’t want that being picked up for tracking.

    Controlling the lo end

The definition control on the amp block is useful, adjusting it tightens the lows and increases the upper mids for more attack. Also setting the geq in the amp block to “pre power amp” and lowering the lows there will help a lot.

What External Pedals Are You Using With your Axe-Fx?

I use a jp95 in front. The wahs I’m the axe are great but that one is very unique and aggressive, can’t match it without an eq block which I can’t spare the cpu for and also it’s not perfect.

Just when i was about to buy a Friedman naked.....

From the last rig rundown, he uses the axe fx for effects and clean tones (doubleverb model) still uses his amp for dirty tones.

Problem with AXE FX II XL+ useing out1 to FOH and out2 to AMP

What power amp are you using? If solid state you could cut down to only 1 amp block

Axe-Fx II "Quantum" Rev 9.01 Firmware Release

I’ve noticed that too and I think it’s the speaker comp. compressors alway do weird things with noise gates and I also hear the noise while playing until the gate clamps it. One way to make it happen for everyone to see what I mean is to hit a palm mute on the low string and let it fade out...

Axe fx 2 / internal microphone

Buy an audio interface with at least 2 channels. Use one for the axe, one for a mic. Set the interface as your sound card.
