Headrush 112 or Boss Katana Mk ll 50 watt

Good write up TJ! Yeh a lot of plus's and minus's either way you go. For time based effects, worship band's and IEM's...FRFR is a winner. I just have to bring a spare rig to 4 hour gigs, and the Boss does the trick for me, since I was more accustomed to the amp/cab combo. I just couldn't afford...

Headrush 112 or Boss Katana Mk ll 50 watt

The Katana provides you a back up rig if your modeler goes down at a gig. Just takes less than 1 minute, to switch it up, and your back up. An FRFR solution would require you bring a back up modeler to the Fractal. I started with a Gen.1 AXE, (many years ago) worked my way up to the AX8, and...

Spare rig at gigs - Boss Katana Head!

If your asking about the Katana, The Katana opens the signal chain to the preamp sections, and just routes direct to the power amp section when you plug into the POWER amp input. All the LED's go dark, and just an LED indicating POWER amp stays lit.

Spare rig at gigs - Boss Katana Head!

Kewl. I had the same issues with running with FRFR, (RCF's, SEISMIC, etc)...NO punch, too much upper response, not a realistic guitar response when being used to a cab. I found I wanted more COMP on the front end, threw an MXR - Dynacomp at the front end to help. You can do a stereo rig using...

Spare rig at gigs - Boss Katana Head!

I just bought the Katana 100 watt head, to pair with my Carvin 212 cab. It has a DIRECT INPUT, that accepts my 1/4" TRS output from my FAS. IF my FAS goes down ON STAGE (which is always one of our greatest concerns)! I have an immediate spare! I just keep my Behringer FCB 1010 in a gig bag, with...

    Octave Divider

This good info Unix, the solo in BonB starts at the the 10th fret, my strat neck p/u is selected. I actually have the drive over 75%, and using the rotary block set for 1/8 note tempo. It's pretty nasty sounding, but fits the cover.

Where is the music like this?

I'm 63, back when this album was released, there was only a dozen or so great artist / bands everyone would listen to. I agree with Maud'Zin. Today, there's literally thousands of artist / bands, each with their own genres. Dozens of labels born on websites. Back then, it took a lot of talent...

Recommendations on wireless audio control to old stereo

I purchased a small FM transmitter. I can plug it into my satellite receiver, mp3 player etc.. transmits to my FM receiver in my garage. Great little piece of kit. If it's not available, there are many available, check the reviews.

New Suhr has "dead" notes :(

Manny's right, high fret most likely, and or insufficient relief. Easy fix for experienced tech.
