If your asking about the Katana, The Katana opens the signal chain to the preamp sections, and just routes direct to the power amp section when you plug into the POWER amp input. All the LED's go dark, and just an LED indicating POWER amp stays lit.

This good info Unix, the solo in BonB starts at the the 10th fret, my strat neck p/u is selected. I actually have the drive over 75%, and using the rotary block set for 1/8 note tempo. It's pretty nasty sounding, but fits the cover.

Recommendations on wireless audio control to old stereo

I purchased a small FM transmitter. I can plug it into my satellite receiver, mp3 player etc.. transmits to my FM receiver in my garage. Great little piece of kit. If it's not available, there are many available, check the reviews.

Agreed Chris. OP, I had luthier do a profile of my frets. His method allows the Strat to "bloom". So many players don't realize their factory made neck is just a good start, most new guitars need to be "tuned" to be the best they can be. I never realized how compromised my instruments were...

Pick attack on cleans

A top is a must, my drummer is inside a booth made with 2 big sliding glass doors, bolted together, a small door,and a TOP constructed of Styrofoam panels. Some Sonex on the interior walls. The booth is fastened to a corner wall, adjacent the stage.

I use it for one tune. Just 1/2 step drop. A little bit of latency, kinda metallic, but beats dropping my tuning below standard for one tune. Had to work with the tracking to make it do what I wanted.

Class D amps

I was looking into doing the same. The issue with a Class D is the filtering that has to be applied to push the PWM out of the audio band. The required filter sections are hard to get in small packages.

Placing FRFR wedges on the floor...

Coupling to the floor (as mentioned earlier) is a major factor. The JBL Sound System Design Reference Manual shows a 3dB increase in SPL for each adjacent surface to a radiator (speaker cab). Floor: +3dB Wall: +3dB Corner: +3dB, +3dB = +6dB Of course, higher frequencies are going to taper off...

I would like to know also. Using a 1RU rack mount SS amp now. Behringer 900, apx. 150w per side into a 16 ohm load...just loud enough before clip. I could throw this in my open back 212 cab. One less thing to schlep in and out! Can it get LOUD with a 4 pc. band and acoustic kit?

Seismic has an inexpensive selection of CAD's and passive networks. Depends on your budget. A 1RU, DBX 223, active crossover can work better than a passive. Used are under 100 bux. High order, passives can get a little pricey.

"ZOOM G3Xn" for a backup rig?

Thanks. I saw the video, that's what got me asking on the forum. Is the G5 using the same engine? Is it "farty" and latent on clean settings (like most cheap modelers) or pretty decent. Also, the "feel" and sound of using the vol. pot on the guitar. Thanx!

How to program custom shift / scales?

Working with Mark Day's "custom scales" for Hotel California. Can't find any info on the steps in the manual or the Wiki. The info is there, just not understanding how to set it up. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Anyone have squealing issues?

Has anyone had issue with "mechanical coupling" of Fractal rig elements? Tubes can become "microphonic". Setting the tube amp on the cab can couple and mirror the same issue. The OP mentioned he is in very close quarters to his rig.

Friedman BE II patch demo

Thanks Glenn! The thumb seems to involve fewer mechanics, verses the index and thumb...hmmmm? I am not very fast, maybe an adaptation of your technique could improve my right hand style. Going to give it a shot. BTW, the patch is great man, I use scenes also. I decided a "core sound" was working...

I have an AKAI DR4D 4 track recorder, in the box. Also a 1 gb SCSI drive and cable. Great shape, (Disney ran there's 18 hours a day) in some of their rides and shows. Make me an offer..Google it.

Am I the only one who doesn't care for full range systems?

I was an FRFR guy. It's fine sending it to FOH...he can deal with the mix. I go straight into the desk when doing a trio gig, for simplicity. But use my 212 cab. with the full band. The FRFR through PA rigs has more high end that needs to be tamed with the right IR's and EQ (IMHO) Ever used your...

First Use At Church

Been playing the worship band gig for years. Same issues....usually, it's based upon "preferences" of leadership of mix hierarchy. Vox on top, kit/bass 2nd..etc. I moved on 2 years ago from a local COG fellowship due to the "air guitar" syndrome. Why play if it's just going to be comp'd at 10:1...
