Ticking Noise when recording with Reaper?

Found a usb cable at home this afternoon. While i was at it i replaced the power cords for my poweramp and pedal supply. I also really tidied up the cables and the ticking is now GONE!!! Thanks for the help, people!

I have no idea how to record decent sounding metal tones. Everything sounds a little muffled?

Generally your regular playing tone is quite different from your recording tone. What works for playing at home by yourself its quite different to what you want when recording. Cut the low end and boost the highs/presence. That said, post a clip to soundcloud so we can hear what your hearing.

Ok, great. Thanks Chris that clip you posted sound way better. And yeah i think you've nailed it with my levels. Tomorrow i'll go through and set them up using the VU meter (been meaning to do that for some time now) I really appreciate you guys taking the time to help me.

Tips for getting dirty delay repeats?

Ok, so now ive got the delay drive maxed and im using a filter (with gain maxed) and 2 drives maxed (rats) and im still not getting enough gain. The delay repeats are getting dirtier but its just not as dirty as my clip. Any advice on how to get it more dirty?
