How can I maintain volume level when switching to Wah?

This gets to the crux of it and would be an incredibly flexible implementation. I think there must be some fairly substantial technical or latency related hurdles to doing this as this functionality seems to be missing on most every (all?) modelers I have used. Probably much lower hanging fruit...

How can I maintain volume level when switching to Wah?

An impressive potential solution but the complexity and requirement for extra blocks and consequent additional CPU would make this a last resort for me. 'A+' for ingenuity though!

How can I maintain volume level when switching to Wah?

@Rumbletone Yup, adding another EXP is always an option, but I would prefer a solution that doesn't require this. This is an issue on several different modelers, not just the FM9, when switching between volume and Wah blocks with a single EXP. Would really like to see an elegant solution that...

How can I maintain volume level when switching to Wah?

Correct, bypassing, for example the volume block does also bypass its current volume setting. You can however, to some extent, bypass a controller assignment without bypassing the block by using the 'Channel' parameter under the modifiers page. The problem is that even though this approach...

How can I maintain volume level when switching to Wah?

I typically place a volume block towards the end of my signal chain before the delays and reverb, and a Wah block at the front of my signal chain. This approach enables me to move the volume pedal to the heel down position to silence my output but still allows the delay and reverb trails, and...

    No more layouts or PP's

I also periodically do an 'Export All Layouts' as well as exporting them individually. You can use the 'Edit' pulldown under the 'Layouts section found in the 'FC Edit' screen of the editor. Very helpful if you need to roll back from a customization of your layouts that is causing an unintended...

    FM9 Firmware Version 7.00

I would keep one blank preset for expediting backups.

FM9 Headphones output extremely loud - Ear protection

You could also get an in-line volume control to plug your headphones into, like the one in the link below. Plenty of options available on Sweetwater and Amazon. Hopefully it is relatively transparent and noise-free at a variety of volume levels...

I’m new to Reverb can you help?

I have often used that three reverbs set differently approach detailed in the video, for vocals. That with some delay can really fatten them up as well as glue them together for harmonies and backup vocals.

I’m new to Reverb can you help?

Gyms can be one of the most reflective venues you can possibly play in. I played one last year and there was ridiculous amounts of natural reverb on the vocals and instruments coming back at us. The ambient noise from the audience in the gym was also incredibly loud. Nothing but hard reflective...

    Factory Presets v6.0

Thanks. Yup right there in black and white. No re-save required to enable gapless.

    Factory Presets v6.0

Do you still have to re-save any presets on which you wish to enable gapless switching or does the loading of the new presets take care of that?

Recreating the Line 6 DL4 “Sweep Echo” and the HOF Trinity T2 Reverb (reverb option 2)

Possible there is some kind of vocoder effect in there too? Either that or actual vocals mixed low? Maybe try including a formant block.

    Over EQing?

I'm pretty familiar with PEQ's but that tip about the FM9's ability to solo each band in the PEQ by clicking on the "S1", "S2", etc. buttons on the bottom row of the PEQ screen is gold. What a cool and useful feature!
