Dry signal recording possible with AX8?

I have realized there are two ways (possibly more) to do this: 1. Add FX loop with no blocks in front of it, basically sending a dry signal to out2 2. Remove FX Loop and instead use out2 echo input 1. --> This option gives me a louder dry signal. Which of these gives the best quality dry...

I am having trouble switching presets. I just tried a new acoustic simulator preset. It works well, but once I have selected it I can only change if I hit F1. I cannot switch the normal way by not having F1 active and the presets blinking. I have not had this problem with any preset before...

Question about stereo vs mono effects live

I have output mode set to Stereo. The idea is that if I play live stereo I use stereo presets (very rarely) and two XLRs to FOH. If I play mono (which I most often do) I only connect to one XLR and use my mono presets which have no stereo effects. Am I right that even if the output mode is set...

By "collaps to mono" are you talking about specific settings in the I/O menu? I am quite sure both cabs are panned to the centre.

Question about stereo vs mono effects live

If I have a preset with two cabs using stereo ultra res, and I only run mono live (sometimes I do not have the chance to run stereo). Will I still get the combined sound of both cabs, summed to mono, or will it by default only use one of them? The cab block is the last in the chain in the preset.

How to open my old AX II presets in Axe Edit, without connecting the Axe II?

I used to own the Axe II, until I sold it and bought the AX8. I would like to open some of my old Axe II presets to see what amps, etc I used. However, it seems I cannot open these in Axe Edit without having the Axe II connected (which I have sold). And I cannot open them in AX8 either. Is there...
