+1 on the mix - liking the album more and more though! Eddie needs upping in the mix, Bass needs taming (bottom end quite a bit...!), and DLRs vocals have had a better mix on his own albums, even the crazy dixie stuff he did. Played against any other reputable VH album and this mix could be...

Cheeky Diamond Dave and a rejuvinated EVH. 'Bout time. I liked some of the Hagar era stuff, but for me VH I-1984 is where they were really at. This is a welcome return to those days IMO. VH always puts a smile on my face...except for VHIII - that should never have happened...!

RCF vs FBT recording

While the RCF should sound a little better, something really doesn't sound right with that Verve to me... I have 2x12MA's and they sound pretty close to a direct recording...the difference here seems wayyyy to big IMO. I'd like to hear a comparision using a reference track...if I was to play...

This one has been done to death so many times before. Taxes have to be paid, like it or not that is a fact. imported US products have always been expensive because of this. Some products may be cheaper because they have large margins to start with...mass produced guitars being an example...

Axe Fx Ultra pedalboard version !!!

What is so difficult about a rack unit tucked safely away (in a 2u rack bag) with one cable going to a dedicated full on floor controller. I don't get the problem with needing an all in one unit... Buy an Ultra and a decent midi controller and never look back.
