Are FullRes IRs just for AITR sounds?

I'm using close mic mixes only. 500ms seems to me like it has less fizz. I like them more.

One more thing, As far as I saw, drag&drop is a little problematic with automation, since the two windows may overlap (Explorer window where the IR containing directory is open, and Axe Edit). A little feature would be such great for automations like this. @FractalAudio, is it possible, and...

Power Automate Desktop comes with Windows 11. I'll try to automate this process at the weekend.

Which effects do you actually use?

    Wah, whammy and delay.

    Windows 11?

Running smoothly, no problem, except that Axe Edit feels a little slower to me.

Axe-Fx III Firmware Release Version 17.00

How many FullRes IRs can be stored in the scrathpads? 2 or 16? I'll create an RPA script that will load my favorite IRs to these slots.

Axe-Fx III Firmware Release Version 17.00

Compared the UltraRes/FullRes of the same close mic mix (York Audio Mesa OS 4x12): I'll upload and use them to the Scratchpad everytime I start the machine, and will not complain about it! Sound is a little fuller, it's like there is less fizz, and more importantly, I feel like I'm feeling more...

Axe-Fx III Firmware Release Version 17.00

Thank you! I tried the same York Audio's Mesa OS mix on User 1 and Scratchpad slot, and there is definitely a difference. I hear broader and fuller low end. I don't think that I'll go back to UltraRes. It's bad that I have to load the IR everytime I start the unit. If there will be no solution...

Hey, how did you load the IRs via AxeEdit? I could not do it unfortunately.

Axe-Fx III Firmware Release Version 17.00

Mark I owner here. I installed the stable firmware, the latest AxeEdit, and copied the two FullRes IR's in one folder, but from the preset manager, when I select the folder, AxeEdit cannot see them. Any comments?

Axe-Fx III Firmware Release Version 17.00 Public Beta

Even as a Mark 1 user, this update really excites me. I hope that it will eventually get to a point that we will be able to choose to use the User Bank 2 NV space for 1024 UltraRes or 32 FullRes IR's. Then I'll choose the second option and never look back :)

I mainly use and enjoy your 4x12 Mesa OS and 4x10 Ampeg packs' close miced mixes. Do you see any benefit for these mixes with FullRes? What are their average length?

While not using the factory presets (except when I use them as a reference while dialing, not to go too astray beacause of ear fatigue), instead of the factory presets and IR's, User Bank 2 is much more spendable IMHO.

Only 3 slots are enough for me. Left and right guitars, and one bass 😁

Thanks for the info. I'm aware that one FullRes IR corresponds to 64x UltraRes IRs memory space, but maybe for Mark I, a minimal number (e.g. 2 or 4) may be considered. If the number differences create a difficulty for development due to the architecture, please ignore this. I'm happy enough...
