If you assign an external switch to SCENE SELECT it will toggle between Scene 1 and 8 An hidden feature that works like Scene 1/2

The resistor would be there to limit current not voltage... but since my guessing is the AX8 is not able to provide 20 or even 10mA you do better omit it. The led I posted is the only one that works, it will not be insanely bright but just bright enough. No problem running a 3V led at 5V at...

Yes it´s possible but you need a very bright led and no resistor. You have to put it in series like this: tip - led - switch - ground - sleeve. I´ve had luck with this led: http://www.taydaelectronics.com/leds/round-leds/3mm-leds/green/led-3mm-green-water-clear-super-bright.html

Anyone try this?

I do it all the time using the AX8 alone and one of my real amps. I managed to separate the stereo FX Loop into 2 independent ones. I call it 6CM.. 4 cables method plus line out from real amp into the AX8 back again for IR and then to FOH. No need to mic my cab anymore. I´ve to start a thread...

Thinking About buying ax8 or fx8

Go for the AX8 you will not regret it. It offers so much more and it works like a charm in front of a clean amp. Just do like philipacamaniac suggested using Output 2 and the "12dB Boost/Pad". The hiss issue is only audible in front of a pretty distorted amp and it´s actually not that bad...

Thanks! Are you using a strat? Which pickups? I´ve Suhr FL Classics on mine and they are pretty vintage in output, I use to roll the Tone pot at 7 all the time. In the first 30 seconds of the clip the Volume pot is rolled back as well, then I max it out. Make sure the Bright switch on the Amp...

Questions about AX8 v FX8

The AX8 works good in 4CM and it´s pretty neutral considering the double AD/DA conversion involved. It only adds some HISS in front of a distorted amp, nothing you can actually ear in a live environment but it´s there. In front of a clean amp it´s pretty quiet. HUM can be present if not using...

I know.. since Badger Amps are already there it would be great to have just one High Res mix of that Cab. The Veteran 30 is my go-to speaker, I like it far better than the Vintage 30
