New FM9 FW version 1, no cabs installed, won't communicate

Thanks all. The dealer was supposed to update the unit prior to posting but didn't so it came in some kind of pre-setup state. I just hope me updating the FW didn't do anything! So I'm posting it back. The waiting list here in Australia is long (I got on it in Aug 2021 and got the unit last...

Seems there are some updates that should happen at the distributor that didn't. Fortunately I have an Axe3 to keep me company while it's sorted ;)

My FM9 arrived today (wahoo!) but seems to have nothing installed. No cabs or presets. Firmware was version 0.1. So I updated it to 4.01. Now it won't communicate with Fractal-bot or FM9-edit. It detects that it is there ('connected') but says it can't communicate ('no response received). Any ideas?

Intermittent USB connection

Since using the powered USB hub it hasn't dropped out even once for me (I made the original post in this thread). But I've heard at least one other person for whom that didn't solve the issue. I found it helpful to try another computer to confirm the issue was something specific to just my own...

Buying FRFR speakers in Australia

The Atomic Neo MkII is a really great sounding speaker so if you can get your hands on one, I don't regret it myself. Having said that, the only place the sound difference between it and a quality speaker is apparent is in a really good sounding room with just the right number of people to soak...

After updating my FC12 now loads directly to fail safe mode without me pressing any buttons. So far I've tried turning on/off a few times and reloading new FC firmware again. Any ideas? Thx

You were totally correct! My tired brain went in and cleared out all the midi programs I'd set up with the FC1010 rather than turn off the master setting. Brilliant - thanks @norpe

I thought you might be onto something there as I did set up an FC1010 previously. But after resetting everything to do with that - no change.

Just unboxed my FC-12 and installed all the latest firmware for both AF3 (5.08) and FC-12 (1.06 was pre-loaded). The I went to setup the FC with default FC-12 layout settings from the AF3. In the preset layout every preset is the first one (59 Bassman). I've tried changing it on both Axe Edit...
