One Month In...

Totally agree with everything above. I recently acquired the FX8 (also at the B stock sale) and I am running it through my Suhr Bella. Amazing setup - the days of spending way too much on pedals is finally over!!!!

Any good powered frfr available in Canada?

This is from another thread but I think it applies here and I am in Canada. All of the cabs I tested were from L&M and the QSC's from another local PA & Lighting rental place.

For drive and boost definitely try scenes, I love incorporating different gain settings on an amp within the same preset. You can take it a step further with the X/Y settings and even incorporate a different amp for your solo. Might be a game changer for you!

Classic signal chain vs the Axe-Fx approach

I know this isnt exactly what the OP was getting at but notwithstanding the discussion on pre/post preamp/power amp I think one of the greatest things about the AXE is the ease of configuring your signal chain however you wish and then the simplicity of tweaking that and hearing the result right...

New Axe-FX II XL+ w/ MFC101 Name Timeout

What's your workflow after updating firmware?

My work flow is similar. I always back up immediately prior to the new FW install and then go through the install process. I then audition one of my go to presets and FWIW always deselect/reslect the amp (out of habit). I make tweaks as necessary and reset levels with the VU meters. I have...

China Grove Double verb with 4x12 V30's

Enjoyed the sound clip and downloaded the preset this weekend. I'm really (pleasantly) surprised how well it translates to my set up (R9) with minimal tweaking. Fun on its own, solid in the mix good work!
