Please may I ask - I think this Canvas has a seperate power supply - do you detach this and re plug in for each gig? ( I think the Palmer has an IEC socket - UK -( also known here as a kettle plug socket lol!)

You're correct. It does have a separate power supply.

Please may I ask 3 questions ( I am receiving an AM4 soon!)-

Does this Powermax have a detachable power supply rather than IEC socket ( kettle Lead style )?
If this is a detachable plug in psu do you remove and attach for each gig?

Does the 3 into one lead come with the unit or is it seperatley sold ? ( or a custom made connection ?)

The Powermax has the same specs as the Cioks DC7 as far as power output goes so look at a DC7 picture and you will see it has an IEC plug lead powering it up. It also takes the CRUX accessory which uses a 24VDC output from the Powermax. I am not using a CRUX I am only using the Powermax as a standalone power supply.
You need to buy the Cioks 8800 Parallel 2 into 1 adapter and use 2 of them joined together to get the 3 into 1 setup I use. Cheaper buying 2 adapters to get a 3 into 1 than buying a 3 into 1 from another supplier.
I also have another one of the 8800 adapters plugged into my Powermax to supply my VP4 with the power it needs. I'll attached a photo of my setup below and everything on my pedal board as shown is powered by my Powermax/Cioks DC7 unit.

How did you attach the Rockboard Patch Bay? I have a Nux Board and a patch-bay... would like to do the same.

Thanks so much1and P - I am only going to buy the Cioks DC7 and 2 splitter leads as just powering the AM4 ( need 3 outputs?) and a phase 90 plus a tubescreamer pedal . Hope the DC7 will suffice?

While the three output obviously would have enough headroom I have zero issue with vp4 and am4 and the two outputs. I also contacted cooks themselves and discussed situation. They are personally running am4 with two outputs as well and did not think third was necessary (though clearly there are a few units which might require more to power)

I also bought this one for my new AM4 pedal board. I looked at a lot of others and didn't find any that provided a single 9v 1.5a power output. Been using it for a week now with no issues. My board is pretty simple so this will power all the devices that I need.
 
If someone just made a damn current tripler for normal power supplies (TrueTone, VoodooLab, Strymon, etc.) it wouldn't be a problem for most modern power supplies with 500mA outputs. I've got a PP3+, which has 12 friggin' 500mA outputs, and I still can't use it for the AM4. Not blaming the AM4, just frustrated at lack of that cable. They ARE available for Ciocks though, through BPTA and some other companies.
 
Voodoo labs sell current doublers.. so I use 2 doublers and a single.. works just fine.. not as clean but it’s under the board anyways!

I use a Strymon Ojai..

So, you take a current doubler out of the PS, as well as a single, then combine that with a splitter, then into the AM4?
