Neural Analog Amp Design - How is that supposed to work?

Can anybody explain how "Neural Analog Amp™ Design" works - combining/creating analog parts to new circuits with a digital controller based on schematic-files from a library? Isn't it also digital sound creation at the end? I'm also wondering about a "real" tube amp sound based on a nano tube (pencil-valve/pencil-tube). Isn't that just for show?

It would be best if you asked on their forum.
I don't expect an honest answer there about whether it's even feasible, let alone as flexible as FAS is in implementing many amps. Ultimately, only a few frequently used amp circuits parts can have been permanently implemented, then combined as effectively as possible and adapted with filters, or?

Think of it as a modular synth—but instead of patch cables, it’s analog circuits that get digitally reconfigured and controlled. That said, it’s still more limited than true software-based component-level modeling, IMO.

With the Fractal platform, Cliff can completely overhaul and update the amp modeling algorithms whenever he wants through firmware, since there’s no fixed analog signal path holding things back—it’s all pure digital simulation.

For all the guys who think modelers sound digital

Do you remember the Vox tone Labs
It’s a similar idea w nano tubes if you read up about the old Vox tone labs it will explain

I think Matt was politely hinting that this forum isn't the place to discuss other vendor's products.

You might have noticed Cliff has locked several other similar threads recently?

I think it's also good publicity for FAS to highlight the limitations of such a solution. I wasn't familiar with the Vox ToneLab ST. The manual says It has 33 built-in amps to choose from. You can't add new amps, it seems. There must be other differences.
