Show us your VP4 pedalboard / rig!

Sorry, not sure where i got the idea the StompStation could run 2 profiles.

How are the effects in it?
I'm fractal addicted for post fx so I use stompstation only as NAM profile loader, anyway his delay is a good idea: it has all controls (tape, wide...) in the same block: smart!!!
Reverb and compression is basic but do the work, modulations "meh" (IMHO)
Anyway is a good pedal for that small price and for that size: is smaller than the palm of my hand.

If you are interested you can watch a review made by @DLC86 and @Marco Fanton

Agree! Delay is very cool and versatile (and my video about the sonulab and subsequent wish thread is what inspired the addition of the Surround Delay by Fractal) and also they recently updated it to remove the gap at preset changes and FX bypass, so there's perfect trails/spillover now (unless settings are different between two presets). The only thing missing on it now is the pitch shifting when changing delay time imho.
Compression, modulations and reverb are somewhat usable/good too, but definitely not comparable to the ones in the VP4.

Here's my review... or I should say "movie" since it's 1:38 long 😅 , but it has chapters so you can jump to the sample parts directly.

PS: you can now try on your PC how their converted NAM models sound with the demo of their new plugin, there are some available for download on their website, to convert your own you need the pedal or someone who has one... @Dave Merrill feel free to send me a PM if you want some converted to try ;)

@2112 did a cool short review too.

If i was a new bedroom player wanting to get going as quickly and cheaply as possible in a small space, this would be worth a look. Same if i was traveling.

However, unless you have a bunch of actual amps to profile, a Fractal unit lets you control the core amp tones a lot more, rather than leaving you shopping in an ocean of captures other people did.

The tiny size is amazing, and super useful when that's a priority, but in most real world situations where you're using more than two presets, you'll need a midi controller too. That increases both cost and size to near the VP4, which has Fractal's deep customizability and fully pro quality.

Amazing time to be a musician, for sure.

This board has been a WIP for quite a while now, initially starting as my non-modeling/EJ/Gilmour inspired board. Well, it’s now got modeling and only a small hint of EJ and Gilmour!

I’m still waiting on an Axxess Unbuffer for the Fuzz Face as it’s unusable in the Morningstar ML5R.

I bought an SDE-3000 pedal for this board and still needed another delay for my main delay sound, which is both a regular delay set to 1/4t and a reverse delay set to 1/2t. And I still needed a chorus and reverb and flange…..so the VP4 won in the end. I wouldn’t have had board space for everything I’d “need”

The overall goal is to cover most tones from the 50’s up through the 90’s and cuts off around Jerry Cantrell dirt levels, for anything heavier than that I prefer amp distortion (or my FM9). This board was an absolute nightmare for the last 2 weeks, hums, buzzes, feedback loops, ugh, but it’s all sorted out now and this is the 2026 modular rig-

(Obviously taken when I was still accumulating pedals)

I also ordered a custom snake from Rattlesnake Cables that’s arriving today, a bit pricey but I’ve spent my entire life using cheap cables (Hell, that board is entirely wired up with three $35 solderless pedalboard kits from Amazon, same as the FM9 board) that never quite reached as far as I wanted, so I had a 30’ snake made.

Your kitchen sink rig, literally in the kitchen.

Just wired in a mate for my VP4 on my pedal board today. I love the 8 equally spaced switches and the feel of 8 pedals under my foot.
I'm using a AM4, VP4 with a MC6 pro. I only have the MC6 hooked up to the AM4 as of now. Are you running 2 separate midi cables out of the MC6 (one to the AM4 and one to the VP4) or are you running out of the MC6 into the AM4 and out of the AM4 into the VP4?

I have it MC6 -> AM4 -> VP4. The MC6 out to AM4 in then out and onto to the VP4 in.

Thanks, do you have the AM4 and VP4 set up as different midi channels, or are you just using scene/preset sync?
Set to separate midi channels and not using the sync function. I do all my song integration of presets and scenes thu the MC6 controller. You could if you wanted to with the AM4 connected to the midi in of the VP4 use the sync functions.

So i finally had the time to finish my VP-4 board, running it stern in the loop for just Delays, Verbs and Chorus also my midi controller for the Soldano X88ir, the other pedals are in front. all powered by a Ciok's DC7 and Crux
