My Axe-Fx III is the best. It does both studio album tones, but also great LedZep live tones -- here's a 10 minute medley of me and bandmates ripping through 25+ snippets, all Axe-Fx III, from the latest updated Brit Rock Royalty TonePack.

Hey have you got an ir of your bass players cab?
Thanks
Pauly
Bass was DI mostly …. although in mix down I doubled it and used UA Ampeg SVT plugin “deep bass” preset blended with the DI. Eddie Kramer tricks.

but we did IR captures of Scott’s Eden Cab in the 200+ Bass TP…. Tom Hamitlon at one point was using one of this - Secret Weapon #2 If I recall correctly…

BTW, if any of you guys are mixers and can afford the fee and want to apply, Eddie Kramer himself (Hendrix, Led Zep, Kiss, Stones, etc etc.) is coming to Austin Texas end of October 24-27, and doing a recording/mixing master class/workshop.

It's gonna be held at Warm Studios (yes, the studio of the company that make nice analog gear).

I will be there. Went to the one he did in Canada 11 months ago -- and can attribute much of the band sound in the above video to what I learned from him and Jason Burgos (his right hand guy).

Video on the class is here with details:

Eddie a smart and funny guy, greats stories, and amazing energy - he literally dances at the mixing console. I learned a TON from him about the best way to record and mix a band.

Very Cool - well played and recorded. Solid trio!
The bass player Scott Nelson is a MONSTER. He toured with Kenny Wayne Shepard for years and also was on the Experience Hendrix tour for years as well, played with Gary Clark Jr. early on - I could go on.

He's our local Blues Club Antone's House bassist and integral to the Austin music scene for more roots music and blues or rock.

It's a constant wonder to me he's not out touring with someone like Zakk Wylde or other rock guys -- Scott's the real deal. I'm lucky to have him, he helped me do the 200+ Bass TonePack which could not have happened without his involvement.

The drummer is my long-time partner in crime Rick Glascock who has taught jazz and music for years, we were in a classic rock bar band in 2008 that played Austin's 6th street clubs called "Mercy Daze." technically a sold drummer with groove, and he pulled off those Bonham parts despite not being an original Zep head like I am!
