b3 Telstar

Yeah I've thought about it. Part of me thinks it should stay stock like it is, instead of modding like I have w tendency to do. Or not.

Also don't know what pickup to try. Suggestions, strat like but fatter?
Hit up the Music Mill in Manchester this weekend. Solid sale going on, and they have a bunch of New Old Stock Fenders from 2010's...or plenty of new-new Teles. They also had a Nash tele in there (yesterday) that was on the wall left of the front desk (not where the Fenders are), that was pretty cool. If you're near Lexington, then Music Mill is the best place I've found within 100 miles for large selection of great electric guitars (their acoustic room is great too....but not quite as $$ as Music Emporium).

Double P90’s. Sweet! Even has the perfect name which is a highway nimber but fits the guitar to a T. @Dave Merrill do you have any P90’s in your lineup? You might like them. That’s all I play lately. The noise isn’t a big deal and the tone is addicting.
Don't have any P90s. I agree i might like them, besides the noise.

But it's not calling to me, especially for the price.

I know - it's tempting for me since I don't have a Collings or a P90-equipped guitar but I'm always gun-shy and overall picky about any listing whose description reveals an item having "stage time" dings and wear. But it looks great.

Might as well start with those dings, then you don't have to feel bad when they happen in real life.

There’s some decent cheap Soapbar guitars. Like the PRS SE 245 Soapbar. Mine has turned out to one of my best guitars. I picked up an Indonesian Hamer that is basically an LP Junior for $300. That’s what got me started on P90’s.

I know it...I'm really picky about and careful with my gear. :dizzy:

Well the guy I bought my SE245 Soapbar from did a horrible job packing it. Then FedEx did their thing tossing the box around. The point on the PRS headstock got dinged pretty good. It actually punched through the gig bag. Reverb refunded me $200 on the guitar so my little ‘Dinger’ cost me $400. I’m ok with it but I know what you mean about being careful.

Ugg. I would have been singing Elvis Presley's, "Return to Sender."

@Dave Merrill - oddly enough I was at the Mill today with my buddy Jim Harper and they had a B3 (that looks like a cross between a PRS and a Les Paul). It was ridiculously awesome....so Jim bought it.
