What would the new-gen even have that the current gen doesn’t?

I am satisfied with the axe 3 as it is, so no real wishes for the IV. A few chewed out wishes I have for axe edit like copying multiple effects at once between presets, but I consider that small change. I just really, really, really wish that I can move my presets to the axe IV just like we can between different axe 3s. I am so happy with them and don’t want to lose them. The ease of use of just copying them in there would save soooo much time. For the rest I just stay on this train and appreciate every update/ improvement or addition.

How do you envision this together with the other wish for a much smaller unit?
I mean not all at the same time. This type of encoders may be applicable if new unit will be in a bigger size, or maybe for floor unit format. But it may be also applicable even to a half rack unit at least for volume or input gain encoders. It may have for example indication of level overall (for example input gain at 8/10) and color indication of peaks (if it clips it'll be red, if it near to 0 it'l be orange/yellow, if level is far from clipping it'll be green)

As a previous user said still no amp model from one of the best amp companies ever being Randall. Obviously there is some aversion to the company or dislike of some sort.

Aren’t those transistor amps? It might be (I don’t really know, just speculating), that the Fractal amp modeling simply doesn’t simulate such schematics - I mean drive blocks do that of course, but amp blocks are quite different, are run on dedicated cores etc.

The Roland JC120 is solid-state too and it has been modeled.

Fair point. But isn’t it just a clean amp though, there’s not much to model anyway. Sorry for my ignorance in this matter, I never played into one, neither the real thing or any models.
Real one does have distortion, but not remotely like an overdriven tube amp, rarely used. Don't know if that's even in the Fractal version, since i only use it for cleans, like pretty much everyone.

  • Block library available on the device
  • on the screen when i am selecting the block i would like to see which model is it, not only "Drive 1" e.g. "Drive 1 - TS808"
  • Lock the Value pot.
  • Zoom view not as default (maybe is there already an option?)
I am adding these (features present on the TMP which i find really useful):
  • the exact POG2 block with the slow attack, in order to be easier to use
  • Simple freeze fx
  • Momentary switch and the possibility to assign multiple parameters to any fx/block. I use momentary to create the freeze fx plus engaging infinite feedback on delay, or turn on momentary other fx

I guess this is an FC limitation? (no momentary switch?), because, unless I misunderstand the requirement, this can certainly be done on Ax3 with other foot controllers (ie I've done similar with my Ax3/Mfc101).

Give us solidstate amp’s preamps as Drive blocks that you can pair with a solidstate power amp in the Amp block then?

There’s quite a few solidstate amps that are on iconic metal records I’d love to tinker around with.

Lot of pedal builders out there offering these amps as standalone pedals now.

Support for full 360 dynacab packs and extended mic list, rather than the horizontal line across the speaker we have now.

If i am not wrong i believe is not possible with the FC. You can hold and access to other things but not specific the one i described. But please, correct me if i am wrong
