Routing question

In the Helix, I can continue adding effects or cabs by routing to path 2. How do I achieve the same thing so that I can add more devices in series?

Send and return blocks.

I think the return block defaults to the level all the way down to avoid unexpected feedback loops.

By default the Send or Return block (can't remember which) defaults to Level turned all the way down. This is intended to prevent a potential feedback loop depending on how the routing is done.
