I owned an LT and a stomp. The effects part was really cool, but the amp modeling…I will never understand how so many people liked that modeling. And fact they now are exploring new algorithms it really validates my opinion about them. It wasn’t good, not even close to Fractal or even plugins like SGear ( the feel part was always so flat…).

The Fractal stuff is pretty big too, even the FM3. Do you feel like they're limiting their audience with the size? Then these Line 6 products are very large, and that limits the audience, too. They probably will follow up with smaller versions later, but for people who prefer something like tonex pedals or the small qc with pedals for effects even the smaller Helix products are too big.
Agreed. Can't imagine why they decided to not put them on the Stadium. It honestly would make me less likely to buy - I'd rather have the smaller form factor, but I want scribble strips. Can't really say anything about the Stadium / - XL just yet, but I have to say I love the OLED scribble strips. The look really good.
it really doesn't validate it at all. Fractal did the same way more often. Quantum, Ares, then the Cygnuses. What does that mean? that the older algorithms were bad? That is a very flawed logic. And fact they now are exploring new algorithms it really validates my opinion about them. It wasn’t good, not even close to Fractal
I think they said it somewhere - to keep costs down. Can't imagine why they decided to not put them on the Stadium.
Yeah, that's a bad decision when it's your flagship product. I understood when they had the Helix Floor and the Helix LT, but I thought the Stadium and the Stadium XL were both supposed to occupy that top quality space. What they've done, for me, is not include a feature that, at this point, I consider essential.I think they said it somewhere - to keep costs down.
Of course they do.The Fractal stuff is pretty big too, even the FM3. Do you feel like they're limiting their audience with the size?
The XL, but it would be the Stadium without a doubt if they'd included scribble strips.Would you get the stadium or stadium xl if you were getting one?
With those stepped rows of switches? Yep, I thought the same.Stadium reminds me of fractal ax8 and fx8.
I read that the scribble strips are supposed to be more clearer than the original unit. Better quality maybe are easier to see, but isn’t that kind of a weak point where something could go wrong or one could go out or many could go out?The XL, but it would be the Stadium without a doubt if they'd included scribble strips.
How is that different than Fractal scribble strips? Yes they could malfunction, but they're super useful, so we hope they won't, and hope the maker does a good job building and supporting them.I read that the scribble strips are supposed to be more clearer than the original unit. You know the axe3 has legacy models and IRs, right? It does look cool but like the gt1000 when I had it I liked the x amps but there were too few. They are releasing it with the old helix stuff in it if it’s a new engine and I don’t like having to wait for them to move everything over to that new engine
I mean, if what they’re saying is true the new agora amps will sound better so why would you wanna go back to the old amps?
Which kick butt. You know the axe3 has legacy models and IRs, right?
Models are mostly sold based on amps that are 50-70 years old. Complaining about legacy anything is laughable imoWhich kick butt.
Older doesn't mean worser.
I hope, or I'm screwed-er.

It probably takes significant time to do. We're kinda going through that here now where Fractal has been re-mastering existing models over the last few releases. But ya, I get yur point, if coming out with a whole new hardware platform, I'd've thought thy'd bite the bullet and remaster all their existing models under the new engine to include in the new hardware, instead of just a few at a time. They are releasing it with the old helix stuff in it if it’s a new engine and I don’t like having to wait for them to move everything over to that new engine
