I installed FW10.0 last weekend. Rightly or wrongly, I thought my patches sounded off, so I've spent a week dialing things back in. It's hard to be objective with these things, but it feels/sounds better than ever. The only problem is the household probably wants to kill me after hearing me riff-testing for a week. I appreciate there's only so many times you need to hear "I Believe in a Thing Called Love" or "Slide It In", but that's what you have to do when you're tuning up a 2203 patch!

Never apologize for playing Sykes riffs. Even the ones us mortals can play.
 
I have a strange problem since updating my FM3 MkI from FW9 to FW10 - it sounds like it's a little phase-shifted, kind of "hollow" (if that makes sense).

I did a direct comparison of the same preset: EVH 5150 III, 3rd party IR (ML Sound Lab Hesu Demon pack), little bit of studio reverb. First take is with FW9 the second is with FW10. Settings completely unchanged.

Anybody has an idea where this comes from and how do get rid of it?

Go to the Cab block and turn down Room Level.
 
Can anyone please try to do the following with the attached preset:
1. Open meters page on the device
2. Use scene 5; in FM3-Edit, switch comp2 from channel A to channel B
3. See if comp2 and out1 go red and sound stops from both in1 and in2.

Reproducible every time on my FM3T FW10. No need to reboot the device to get the sound back, just switch to the next preset and back. The comp2 and out1 will still be red but the sound will be back - until you switch comp2 from channel A to B again.
You should also see Out1 block as red in any other preset from this point.

The channel B was working fine until I changed the Level of the channel - that's when the sound stopped. I saved the preset, reproduced it a few times and here it is. Is it on my device only?
Both channels set to limiting mode as keyboard player was using the Returns.

I have a video of two blocks being red while the sound is coming through, so maybe it's just the CPU issue?.. It's only 70%.

In my case, I switched presets and the sound was absent in all of them until the device was rebooted. Unfortunately, I can't test your preset because I rolled back to firmware 9
 
comp2 and out1 go to red. no sound.
btw, changing preset doesn't reactivate the out1 block. reboot required.
i am on fw10.

edit: when i go to manage presets, to delete your preset, the slot where i saved it, is shown as empty ...
maybe it is corrupted somehow.

Did you actually save it or just import it?

Also, try refreshing in Manage Presets (the blue "arrow circle" in the upper right).
 
I'm having an issue after upgrading to firmware 10. I tried loading the All-Presets Bank file via Fractal Bot, but it wiped out all existing presets, and now they're just blank. Also, the upload process is taking unusually long—almost an hour. Is that typical?

I can confirm that the FM3 is running firmware 10 as shown in FM3-Edit. Any suggestions?

*Update: my latest attempt to upload failed saying "no response" from the unit. I've never seen this before.
