Same here that YA KW is the reigning champ but these solodallas have me intrigued.I have not tried the SoloDallas IRs yet ..., but I've got the YA KW and I have compared that with other Greenback cabs and ( IMHO ) nothing else compares ....
That said ..., I'm always on the lookout for more Greenback IRs, so I'd LOVE to be proven wrong!
is it hard to make these work w/fractal?
I dont do cab lab
im kinda cromagnon
any blends or are they all single mic?
I picked up the Solodallas bundle the other day and have been pretty impressed so far - sounded great during today’s rehearsals.
I was using the York KW and other sets before (which I was happy with), but I haven’t had a chance to do a head to head “shootout” yet.
I agree that the individual Solodallas IRs are a kinda pricey, but the bundle is a better value/more reasonable price.
Keep in mind that I’m in Canada and I picked up bundle at the “on sale” price at $123 CAD. Not sure what the pricing structure currently looks like in the US.
The bundle includes 5 different IR cabs and if I were to buy 5 IR cab packs from other vendors (Ownhammer, Tonefactor, Mirror Profiles, etc.), I would have spent the same amount, if not more.
I have both packs, have to agree I don't find anything particularly special about the SD IR's that beats anything In my collection. KW is very good although I currently don't use them.Yeah the problem for me is ( was ) ..., I'm V.H. I and/or V.H. II tone chasing. So, I'm really only looking for Greenback alternatives ..., and at that only one mic. option is what I'm looking for ....
It's too bad that the only option for purchase was the full bundle.
The narrowrer your focus the harder it is to find what your looking for.
And really ..., nothing special about these ( for me ) .... They're "good" solid sounding IRs ..., but nothing special or different than what I already had.
Opinions are like * ** ( you know, everyone's got one ) ..., but the York KW cab is still the clear winner for me !

Yes but their really worth the money. ReallyWOW .... A lot of $$$'s for only a few GM 25 greenback IRs ....
Yes but their really worth the money. Really
I’m not dissing the quality ! Not at all ….
But ‘value’ for what I wanted ? NOT AT ALL … !
For what I was looking ( hoping ) for I got less than 20 usable IRs ....
That works out to approx. $ 4.30 U.S. per IR ....
I've bought full presets and IR packs for less than that !
Truthfully ..., I probably wouldn't care if it improved on what I was using ..., but they didn't do that either ... !
The York Audio KW cab is still a much better sound ( for what I'm trying to achieve ) ....
Same! Do you have any IR recommendations?., I'm V.H. I and/or V.H. II tone chasing.
