Some love for that Valentine M5 Preset

I finally had time to bring the FM9 into the lab and I have to say, this is probably THE most usable, ready-to-gig preset present I've loaded from the FF series.
Makes sense though, because I generally play a lot of modern pop rock, covering a few Maroon 5 songs.
I did have to make some cab lo/hi cuts, interesting that they were not in every cab, and I don't know what to do about that Friedman scene, it just disappears.
But I want to go find a jam and see how that sounds live with a band!

This is the first time I've liked a Dumble also... hmm.
 
I also found it interesting the use of the input eq on some of the amps and little tweaks like bumping the mids on the div/13 from 5 to 5.2 and changing the speaker impedance from default to the Marshall style impedance curve. Same with adding a bit of gain enhancer compression on the amp block.

Those little tweaks are cool and I’d love to know some of the thought and experimenting that goes on to land there.
 
I also really appreciated the inclusion of the solo’d guitar tracks with the context of the mix. Really gives an amazing reference to how the presets are translated in a mix.
