Some suggestions how to create this warping/bending/twisting/slowing effect.

Hi guys, this effect is very interesting and I was wondering is it even possible to be made somehow with the amazing Axe FXIII modeler?
Thanks and much appreciated for all upcoming ideas.
This is the example:

Slow vibrato. Chorus block set to 100% wet will get you there. Rate and depth to taste. LFO Shape to Sine for a smooth sweep and Auto Depth set to High or OFF for a wider pitch bend range.
Thanks @mr_fender I'll give it a try. Is it better to make some parameters modified with an expression pedal for slowing or warping the effect on demand?

Also, try a slow chorus, and remove most of the direct signal.

Thanks
Pauly

I have a delay set to do this (and then the inverse) on a preset, I can dig up the block if you’d like OP? Makes for an interesting soundscape for sure.

The sound posted is close to a tape-stop but not quite. Said tape-stop is a very cool sound and I cant remember if someone figured out how to get it.

I think I also hear a reverb making the low rumble in there.

...it'd be cool to set an envelope so you're only getting the downward slope of the pitch shift when triggered.

Sounds like some different synths with a pitch bend and mild phaser/cutoff thing on the one doing the plinky plonky thing. Very X-files.

Yes, feel free to post what you have, it would be nice to see different version. Thanks for the interest. :)

What'd you end up using to get there? I messed around with the pitch block detuner for a while, didn't end up anywhere close.

Tremolo+Chorus+Synth Blocks in parallel and the guitar armbar  :D. This is the addition to one of my typical clean scenes, nothing special. I could provide the preset but I'm not using Cab Block, only Filter and GEQ correction and maybe won't be suitable for everyone.

It sounds a bit like the Plex Detune setting of the Plex Delay block.

Another thing to try that's not really the same, but in the same vein is to grab the delay block out of the Warped Vinyl factory preset and play around with that. I have that in almost all of my patches assigned to an external momentary switch. It is the "you are suddenly on drugs" button.

Advanced Whammy in the pitch block works pretty well for a quick and dirty version with manual control. A momentary Control Switch works well to kick it on demand. Turn up the modifier damping as needed to control the speed of the bend.

I don't use the cab block either... filter + GEQ here too :)

Here you are @Rotti maybe you have to set scene levels appropriate for your gear. I hope you like it. :)
Oh, this is on firmware 27 Beta 8 not to forget to mention.

Edit:
A small fix, just download it again. Sorry for the inconvenience
