FracTool - for power users only

Hahaha - that’s what I get for doom scrolling the forum late at night! Sorry about that!

so just to be clear, FracTool allows the conversion of older file types to current hardware?

and if i understand correctly, it's best that i convert the old file types to axe fx3 format and then import into my FM9 Edit?

so this resolves the error i get when i try to install older files off Axechange?

Possibly... But we don't know what type of errors you get ;)

Also, at this point, it doesn't make much sense to convert stuff from the previous generations - things have moved on significantly.

FracTool 3.78 is available :
- AxeFx III 23.00 support
- FM9 5.01 support
- FM3 7.00 support

Presets conversions from gen2 to gen3 are now disabled as people didn't understand it would not sound identical... If needed, can be activated with a specific konami-code for power users ;)

Konami, brings me back to a loooong time ago as a teenage gamer. Does that make me a power user ? 😁

Cheers 🍻

When I converted my Gen 2 presets for the Ax Fx 3 with FracTool long ago, I was super happy: most things worked 1:1 straight away and Fractal didn't provide anything like that. My kudos to AlGrenadine!

The presets I created this way worked well, but were no longer compatible with the introduction of new features such as song- and set lists and FC controllers. This was discussed in the Ax Edit section because I first noticed it in that program.

Am I correct in assuming that a conversion today with the latest FracTool version would solve the problem?
