The best covers are the ones that reinvent the original. Like this one, Runaway by Bonnie Raitt, "Watchtower" by Jimi, and Inside Looking Out, by Grand Funk. How many people have even heard the Animals original song?

I missed this one. It was one of my aunt's 45's I used to play when I was about 4. Didn't "get" the storyline then, and even much later didn't understand what was really going on between her and Billie Joe. What a masterpiece! Simple music, with a perfect string arrangement, and a superb way of telling a story.

My all time favorite band! Grand Funk Railroad! Mark Farner was a major influence on my guitar skills. I got to meet him a couple times, and he’s an amazing person!
