That is good news! But at least now the USB-B port supports midi over USB.
I‘m also curious about this. I really hope that the FM3 will still get the possibility to be edited wirelessly.I noticed there is no Usb-A port on FM9. So does this mean USB-A on the Fm3 will never get functional as well?
I wish USB-B was as well…the weakest link in any unit that has it.USB- A is dead.
Looking at the manual, FM9’s MIDI capabilities are exactly the same as the FM3’s.
This wish/likely fantasy……+1000.Don't sell your FM3's let, could FAS be planning a USB-A FM3 connection to the FM9 USB-B with midi control and audio to add 25% more compute to the FM9?
You can do that now with FracPad and a Bluetooth midi adaptor.I‘m also curious about this. I really hope that the FM3 will still get the possibility to be edited wirelessly.
Thanks, missed that. Does this include MIDI thru over USB?Yes, but USB is different, including MIDI-over-USB.
I just wanted to add a little sarcasm to the thread, but you never know what FAS is cooking up. The USB-A port has been a topic on these threads since the FM3 was released and it's not enabled. It's likely that the SoC board had a built-in USB port and FAS had no real future plans to use it. Still I like to dream, but unlikely. This wish/likely fantasy……+1000.
You made me Google it.Mary Celeste
Both ways, or just in?Yes, but USB is different, including MIDI-over-USB.
Both ways, or just in?
Does MIDI-over-USB include MIDI thru? This would seem to be a simple yes or no.2-way, according to the manual.
