FM3 Firmware Version 3.03 beta 1

Whats a bass player?

How many of you are thinking "a failed guitarist" but are afraid to type it because you're being pc? :p
I'm sure you guys are just being funny... BUT if you've ever actually played with a good bassist you realize how important they are ;)

I've played with a few really good ones and some that were passable.

As my current bassist (who also plays Stick, mandolin, guitar and piano) says: remember, I decide what chord we're playing :)

Edit:

He also owns both an Axe Fx III and FM3... I wish Fractal paid for referrals!

I definitely was kidding as I do play bass. Unfortunately, too many of the bassists that I've played with were guitarists who play the bass like guitarists and not bassists. That always drives me nuts as it doesn't add anything to the song, imo.

Early on I played guitar in a stage band at a community college, and guitar, bass, the drummer and piano were the core of the rhythm section, operating like a locomotive.

I still lock into the bass and drummer when I'm playing. It's wondrously fun when we are completely in step and it sucks when someone else shows up who can't hold the rhythm or steps on other players because they're too busy being a star. When three or four players are nailing those accents and beats... that's one of the things I miss so much because of the lockdown.

it bears repeating but the incremental improvements we've had over the last year have really added up to something special, cygnus be darned. This week I spun up a barebones 65 bassman patch, 4x10 ultrares legacy bassman cab, and sun plate reverb on ultra-high (might as well use all that cpu!). It's unreal (or rather it's VERY VERY real) - just makes me want to sit there and play all night. Looking forward to the final version of this one just as much as I am the big cygnus port, and really happy with the investment Fractal is making to keeping us up to date. When at last the FM3 updates slow down and stop I will still have a platform that makes me smile every time I pick up the guitar.

Laaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaate the reply party. Apologies if it's already been answered. I have the Out 2 bug on some presets but not others. Any idea what causes this? My gigging preset I've been building is just fine. Odd.

Wasn’t it just if you are using the copy out1 —> Out2 setting and do not have a dedicated Out2 block in your preset? Don’t know your presets, but maybe that could be the cause.

If that’s the case, wouldn’t a temporary fix be to just add the output 2 block to your presets, parallel to output 1?
