FRFR best choice?

Hi

I started a thread called

FRFR boxes

Could you kindly share your insights on using the M Britt model when compared to the CLR or others you have used.

Cheers

Greetings to everyone, I would like to advise you about choosing FRFR for AX8, I do not have much money, but I'm always thinking of buying some FRFR speakers. Here in the offer, cheaper speakers, which I can buy are Electro-Voice ZLX-12P,
Alto TS310, JBL EON 610, Behringer Eurolive B1220DSP and announced in the HeadRush FRFR-108. I also wonder if it is necessary - to use a mixer (the guy I bought from using the AX8 from it went into a small mixer and only then in the jbl active speaker).
thanks in advance

You don't need a mixer.

My friend has the Gemini 2P and uses it with a Matrix GT1000. Sounds great.
Yes the reviews of the Gemini 2P are good. I’ve got the Matrix and certainly work good. But one question. What the difference using the Gemini and a real cab like mine Marshall 1922? The speackers?

No mixer required.
I have a small PA system Soundcraft UI16 and several different powered speakers bought and sold over the years.
Have owned Alto TS212, EV ZLX-12 which I have used with my AX8 both direct and through the PA. I prefer direct to the speakers.
At the moment, the PA gets the pair JBL EON 610s but when connected in stereo direct to the AX8, sound really good.

My current FRFR which I use almost exclusively is the HeadRush FRFR12 mono. Great sound for the money. Better than the JBLs to my ears.

Before seeing the HeadRush FRFR 108, I bought an Alto TS308 to go with my PA. They are almost identical to the FRFR 108 and personally, sound great. Prefer the FRFR 12 to the smaller Alto TS108 and assume the HeadRush model would be similar.

I also have not been spoiled with the higher end speakers mentioned in this thread.

Owning both a simple PA and FRFR is expensive enough! The JBLs and Alto TS-108 as a monitor on stage do a great job as a small PA and keep the FRFR 12 for my AX8 in the end.

My own experience.

The best bang for the buck is the Headrush 112 all day long...there are definitely better sounding FRFR's but the difference in sound is not proportional to the extra dollars spent in my humble opinion. I have 2 running in stereo and for less than $500 that sound very good...great headroom, volume, and definition.
