Total Powered Run Time?

I've been using my axe as the main Audio interface for my pc.
And it has been turned on more than it has been turned off!
And I had it for, like, three years now maybe.
Absolutely no problems whatsoever.
This device is just cool.
I'd say - why does it matter how long it was on? As long as it works, it works.
And it won't stop working unless there is a reason.

I know. I just don’t know any music gear that does this :)

Kind of a cool feature. It’s only accessible through a back door routine, it’s not even in the user manual.

I actually hacked the code to fix the OMNI setting retention problem in the A3. The A3 firmware was written in assembly language, which is what I studied in school, way back in the 80’s. :)

Since the manual indicates at least one part has a lifespan, I thought it would be reasonable to ask if a run-time counter existed.

Does a rotation counter exist?

Not necessarily, but it could help determine the BS index of the seller. Assuming of course, they don't know it's there! :)

How would that work though? They say “light use”, you buy it, they ship it, you hook it up and see it has “xxxxx” hours on it...

Then what ? File a reverb dispute for a refund as you don’t think that many hours is “light”?

But who is to say how many hours constitutes what ?

For that matter, what is worse ?

Turning on/off 1000 times and running 1000 hrs, or, 10,000 hours with 100 flips of the power switch?

Is duration or number of times the power cycles “worse” ? Is number of hours really telling us much?
