Let's see those FM3 rigs!

Awesome, thanks the recommendation... the problem that I am seeing is that the height of the FM3 and the Duo 24 is at 6.25 inches. Every gun case that I've seen maxes out at 6 inches on the inside 'height'. I've already tried two other gun cases. I'm starting to move over to drum cases to see if they can fit but most are closed with the strap which I'm not liking. I did find what seems to be a great fit but the case starts at close to $450!

Well, I've got the V870 which says it is 6 inches. My FM9 and Mission pedals mounted on 2 Duo 24 boards fit with some foam still on the lid.

I don't think the FM9 is much different height from the FM3... If any?

Actually, my bassist has a different Vault series case for his FM3/FC6 on a Duo board. Let me see what model he's using.
My bassist thinks he has the V700... Hasn't been home from work to confirm. I am pretty sure that's what he has and that's the model I was thinking before he replied.

I just found possibly the 'perfect' Temple Audio Duo 24 with FM3 case... but it's too expensive for my blood.

Edit: Well, I tried several times to add the Amazon link but I guess the forum doesn't allow it. Went ahead and removed the '.'

The Morningstar MC8 board in front of the speaker cab is battery powered and connects to the FM8 via wireless bluetooth midi (WIDI Jack) to control everything. The Rolls headphone amp (on bottom of board) is powered by the 12VDC off the FASLINK connector. It's a tight squeeze in the Pedaltrain JR case. I had to source some shorter feet for the bottom of the Pedaltrain and remove the FM3 side bumpers to get it to fit.

This is my first Fractal rig - or any modeller rig for that matter. I put it together this week (still need to wire up some of the connections on the front panel, which will reduce wear on the Fractal jacks from frequent plugging/unplugging and reduce the likelihood of getting ripped apart by bass players with clumsy boots … ).

I made this rig for playing/writing in headphones at night on the couch so it’s not totally road-ready but holy smokes is it powerful!
The FM3 is an interface for the ipad running a couple ios synthesizers USB to output 2 which is sent to the effects loop with the post-chain guitar signal. I play the synths with the fishman triple play pickup going to a usb hub plugged into a “bomebox”. So basically synth and guitar audio send to output2 to an h9 -> looper ->beat buddy then return back to fm3 straight to output 1. The MIDI controller I haven’t set up yet but it’s going to control some stuff on the synths/looper/and fm3. The MIDI is all going back to a “bomebox” for routing. Just set it up now Im learning how to use it.

Finished up the "FM3 Briefcase" today. It looks like an old-school briefcase when all closed up, and is about the exact size too. The case provides protection for the FM3 when gigging while also allowing for quick and easy setup with the essential I/O connections on the side of the case and switches/controller wired up inside. I often use an ambient mic for live recordings to pick up the audience so I included a way to easily connect this mic to the case and include its connection along with the cable loom that connects to this case. Construction pictures are included to show the process and guts of the case.

That's pretty slick!
