I thought "reset amp" within Manage Presets was the same as soft reset? This really is confusing.
With a soft reset, you need to save the preset, with the other it automatically saves it.Yeah I read that previously but I still don't see the difference between "soft reset" and "amp reset within Manage Presets."
From scratch doesn't exist, there's always old data in memory when you insert the amp block, so you need to reset it toomaybe its a ridiculus question but if you do a presets from scratch you dont need to reset?

If I buy a presets that was made for fw25, do I need to reset? From scratch doesn't exist, there's always old data in memory when you insert the amp block, so you need to reset it too
No, it's current firmware...If I buy a presets that was made for fw25, do I need to reset?
You didn't read what I replied to...Yeah I read that previously but I still don't see the difference between "soft reset" and "amp reset within Manage Presets."
my apologies, I misunderstood the context. You didn't read what I replied to...Yeah I read that previously but I still don't see the difference between "soft reset" and "amp reset within Manage Presets."
My statement was based on the manage preset, so my statement was correct. Easy to misread.

Haven't tried to break the fw with a bass preset but my existing one still sounds good (to me, a non bassist)
90s? Mexi precision, gibson reissue les paul, logic drum loop, axefx3. Guitar dirt is brit pre iirc. Bass dirt is DI w comp parallel to comp into porta-bass i think.Bass sounds great! Guitars too! What kind of rigs are you using for these sounds?

If you go to manage presets and you clear (not rename) the presets, there will still have old data in memory? From scratch doesn't exist, there's always old data in memory when you insert the amp block, so you need to reset it too
