I've always loved the tones that Steven Wilson gets on the Porcupine Tree albums, which are a Hot Cat and later the Lynx. The tones are even better live, as I got to see PT play during the Fear of a Blank Planet tour, and my guitarist friend and I at the show both remarked about it being the "most pissed off guitar tone we've ever heard."
Well, the Hot Kitty seems to be that with the new tweaks. Bravo Cliff, you are a gentleman and a scholar. I always used to fight this amp model and thought it sounded weird and artificial, but it most definitely has changed its tune.
