Wish: Holding external switch to activate tuner

I'd really like to be able to hold down my external tap switch and engage my tuner. Just like the tap switch on the MFC, but with an external one connected to a switch port.
 
I have an external tap switch set up to momentary, controlling CC# 14, but it won't engage the tuner on the AxeFX when i press and hold it. I still have IA #16 (?) setup as a tempo switch (so i can see the blinking light) and it will engage the tuner.
 
Never mind my previous answer. The "press and hold" functionality only applies to onboard switches. See manual.

That's what I was afraid of, so I guess my "wish" is that the press and hold functionality is offered on external switches.
