Why does the FC button 1 change the name on FC button 2?

Layout 1 = 4 scenes — 1/clean, 2/crunch, 3/Lead(1), 4/Lead(2)

On FC Edit; FS 1 (Scene / Toggle / primary Scene 1 / Secondary Scene 2
FS 2 (Scene / toggle / primary Scene 3 / Secondary Scene 4

if I toggle FS 1 between Scene 1 & 2 (which I’ve named clean & crunch)…it changes the name on FS 2 to the names on FS 1 and visa versa.
If I toggle FS 2 between Scene 3 & 4 (lead 1 & lead 2) on switch 2 (for a gapless switching)—it changes the names appearing on FS 1.

I’m sure there’s an easy fix?

I've also tried in per-preset...to no avail

With the scene name, 'Current' or 'Destination, selected for the Mini-Displays, the names will change depending upon the active scene.

With "Destination Name" selected, the display for one switch will revert to the Primary Scene as the destination when pressing the other switch.

With "Current Name" selected, the display will show the active scene name in both displays.

I prefer to use "Both #" so the active scene is shown with brackets around the number.
