Who digs the Friedman models?

I used to really dig the Friedman amp models when I first got the Axe Fx iii when it came out, but I think my tastes have changed and find I dig the hot rodded/ modded marshall styles like the JVM or Splawn stuff more so. They usually sound chewy and midrangey and smooth yet aggressive at the same time when I hear examples of them, but I don’t usually arrive there, but I usually feel like I can’t dial amps in as good as others anyway haha I find the Friedmans quite dark and murky, and sizzly.

How do you guys find them?

For the Friedmans, rise the Master Volume and change the Tonestack to Plexi, that really opens up the BE/HBE and makes them more chewy and aggressive.

It’s set to default if I’m remember rightly, I’m at work actually.

Hit them with a TS style overdrive or an EQ to help with the lows / bass.

I haven’t in a while! I must say, I’m really digging those Splawn models though. They sound hot rodded and clear/aggressive, yet smooth. I’ll have to check out the CCV models!
