Have learned, and it has taken way to long, that you must have the correct IR for the sound you want.

i‘ve spent years trying to dial in tones when I likely didn’t have the correct IR to meet the tone in my head.

Honestly, IR is so critical. If you can’t plug in an IR iafter the amp you want, at stock and without any tweaking and get close to the sound you want, you need to find a different IR. When you have the right IR for what you want to hear, the whole process is so much easier.
 
Agree, just bought several York Audio cabinets, and may buy 1-2 more. Justin’s mixes are outstanding.

Agreed! After several months of pulling my hair out, I discovered I can only get so far tweaking amp and EQ settings using the wrong IR. Once I started trying more IRs, it was easier to get closer to the sound I wanted. Not perfect yet, but getting closer.
