VRM Box by Focusrite?

i bought one of these: How does the VRM Box work with my existing audio interface? | Focusrite

and was wondering if anyone uses one with the axe-fx? i just bought one and aren't having much luck getting it going plugging it into the axe fx like the link above. so any setup tips would be appreciated!

i figured it would be as easy as spdif out from the axe fx to in on the unit.. and then setting the main input to spdif on the axe fx , but no luck.

Friend of mine has been using before the unit died with good results.
If I recall correctly his nickname is Musicwillbedone but not 100% sure.
