I have an Axe FX III and I have it connected to my PC via the USB connection. It works great to record tracks straight into the DAW (For me Protools or Ableton).
But I want to also record DI dry takes simultaneously into the DAW in order to "Reamp" the dry track in the future with possibly a different Axe guitar preset.
So my question is - Is there an easy way to route a dry guitar take via the USB connection back to the Axe FX III (just like you would use a VST plugin) to pass it through an Axe FX preset and then send it back to the DAW?
Or is my only option to route this track via analogue outs to the Axe like the good old days ?
