Understanding dual amp blocks

Before I implement dual amp blocks do I need a second frfr? One on out1 and one on out2? I do plan on picking up a second fr12 for other reasons but was just wondering if its needed for dual amp blocks.

I don't. I have several presets with dual amp blocks and have them set for stereo, panning one left an the other right into out1. Leon Todd has a good video on youtube for setting up stereo.

No, it’s not necessary to run two monitors unless you want to run things in stereo. Dual amp blocks can be used in stereo, but they can also be used for blending two sounds to get a different one, or having access to eight channels total instead of four.

And you can use a single Cab block and a single IR if you don't need stereo amps...
