Turning on/off different effects on different presets with footswitches

I have my three footswitches assigned to turn on/off the Phase, Flanger and Pitch Blocks. Can I assigned them for different effects on other presets, or is it a Global thing? I looked at the manual but if the answer is there it went over my head. Also I play through the unit, so a FM3 Edit solution is not for me.

You can use per-preset overrides to alter the function of any switch for different presets.

First, assign the 3 footswitches to 3 Control Switches.

Then, each Control Switch can be assigned in each Preset to whatever function you want.
And remember, each Control Switch can be assigned to many (!) functions simultaneously.

Control Switches can be daunting for some and may not be the right choice in some cases.

Per-preset overrides are probably the better choice... But good to have options.
