Tuner Engage?

Is it possible to engage/bypass the tuner using an external switch attached to a FC-6. I thought this should be pretty easy but I don't see any way to attach a modifier to the tuner?

Question from the cheap seats...

I’m not in front of the III now, but recall that you could call up the tuner with a CC number. So, would it be true that you could turn on the tuner on the III display with the external switch, but it wouldn’t display on the FC?

Just curious @yek I’m not familiar with what the FC can send with external switches.

Not possible with external switch connected to the FC.
