Tonex/Fractal: Dual Panned Amps

I just bought a used Ax8 coming from a Line 6 Helix Lt. I’m already loving the sounds that this unit puts out compared to the Helix. I’ve been binge watching YouTube videos on how to use it. It does have a really steep learning curve, but I like the capabilities it provides over the Helix.

I have a question: I know the axe 8 can only run 1 amp, but I have a Tonex pedal and would like to run 2 parallel amps using an amp in the axe 8, and other with the Tonex.
I’d like to have each amp and cab panned left and right.
What are the steps to run the Tonex in the effects loop? I did an “ai” google search and I found how to hook it up, but what is the best way to set this up in the editor, and how to balance between the two different amps. Also, do I need to do anything in the global settings I/o?

Would love to hear your thoughts for what I need to do to accomplish this.

Have never done anything like this but have you tried adding an FX Loop with the Tonex in the send/return jacks.

You can sometimes run into phase issues trying to run things in parallel using the effects loop. The ToneX likely does not have the same processing latency as the Amp block in the AX8 and the effects loop will add an additional round of A/D conversions and latency too.
