The Mark Knopfler Guitar Collection @ Christie's

Some good porn in that PDF.

I'm not a giant Dire Straits fan, but he's a phenomenal player, writer, and performer. He also has great choice in gear and fantastic tone. The fact that proceeds are going to charity also makes me hope they all sell for very high prices.

I'm pretty much a metal head & prog rock nerd. I wasn't a big Dire Straits fan at first either. My introduction was the Money for Nothing video on MTV.
My dad use to play the Alchemy Live album & it was a game changer for me. Its not polished studio work, but a fantastic live performance that really showcases what the band was all about, live shows.
If you ever get a chance to check out Alchemy, you might find it enjoyable. :)

Cheers!

A few years ago I tried to recap Knopfler's sound with my AXE FX2
It was from Knopfler's later solo period. For the preset I used a Soldano 100.
I have the preset on my AXE FX3 now but have to work it out to let it sound the same or even better.

Greetings,
